RISE RSVP app
Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to browse programs, register, and RSVP. This page describes our accessibility goals and how to get help if something blocks you.

Our commitment
RISE Adaptive Sports serves people with diverse abilities. The RSVP app should be usable with keyboard only, screen readers, zoom, and mobile assistive technologies.
We target conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across participant and staff flows, and we aim higher where practical for text contrast and touch targets.
What we build in
Current app practices include:
- A "Skip to main content" link on every page.
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Touch targets sized for one-handed mobile use (about 44×44 pixels minimum on primary actions).
- Labels and roles on forms, buttons, and major regions so assistive tech can announce purpose clearly.
- Reduced-motion respect where the OS requests it.
- Masked contact fields with a deliberate reveal step so staff share PII only when needed.
Known limitations
Some third-party content (for example sponsor logos or partner websites) may not meet our standards.
PDF or print views generated from the app may not be fully tagged for screen readers.
We are actively improving calendar density, modal focus management, and color contrast on legacy screens.
Physical programs
This statement covers the RSVP web app, not every venue or trail. Program pages describe accessibility features when staff provide them. Tell us what you need when you RSVP or contact info@riseadaptivesports.org before your first visit.
Feedback and accommodations
If you hit a barrier in the app — missing labels, keyboard traps, low contrast, or anything that stops you from registering — email info@riseadaptivesports.org with the page URL, what you tried, and your browser or assistive technology if you know it.
We will respond as quickly as we can and work on a fix or reasonable alternative way to complete your task.
Assessment
We test with automated accessibility checks, manual keyboard review, and periodic audits as features ship. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown above.
