For care partners & support people

Supporting someone? Start here.

Create your own free account, then add the family members or clients you support. RISE keeps the group together from waivers and RSVP to check-in at the program.

The RISE story

RISE Adaptive Sports has offered free, year-round adaptive recreation in North Texas since 2007. Kayaking, handcycling, wheelchair rugby, camping on Lake Grapevine — real outdoor adventures, built for people with physical disabilities.

Nobody does it alone. Parents, spouses, care partners, support people, and friends are part of every session — cheering, paddling alongside, or trying the equipment themselves. That is why everything in our app is built around the household, not the individual.

Programs stay free because donors and community partners cover equipment, transportation, and trained staff. Your only job is to show up.

Participants and the people who support them share the whole experience.

An adult rides a tube with two children at a RISE lake program.
Two wheelchair users move down an accessible ramp toward the lake at a RISE program.
A RISE participant holds up a fish and fishing rod on a dock.

How to participate

  1. Step 1

    Register yourself first

Create your free RISE account in your own name, even when you are signing up a family member or client.

  2. Step 2

    Add the people you support

Add the family members or clients you manage. Each person appears in the RSVP list after you add them once.

  3. Step 3

    Sign the waivers

Sign your own waiver. You can also sign for a child or someone under your guardianship. Waivers renew once a year.

  4. Step 4

    Choose a session and RSVP

Pick a free session, choose everyone who is coming, and send the group RSVP together.

  5. Step 5

    Check in with My QR

At the program, open My QR. One code checks in everyone on that RSVP.

Using the app

  • Your account is the home base

Your profile, your family members, your RSVPs, and your waivers all live on the Account page.

  • Waivers happen online

Sign each person’s waiver from your account the first time you RSVP. Waivers renew every year, and the app reminds you when yours is due.

  • Plans change — that’s fine

Open My RSVPs to cancel or update any sign-up. Canceling frees the spot for another family.

  • Bring the crew

Programs are built for participants, family, and friends. Camping at Meadowmere Park has no per-guest fee.
